What is the cost and how do I book?Upon inquiry, I will send you a link to view sessions, details, and pricing! Each session has different needs and pricing. Fingers crossed you see what you like and you let me know the session that suits you best. To book, I ask for a nonrefundable retainer of $100 and a signed contract. The retainer is a portion of your total investment and the remainder is paid before or by the day of your session. Upon inquiring and selecting a session, date, and time - I will send an electronic client portal where you can take care of all of this on your phone or computer!

Based + TravelI am based in Kankakee County, Illinois. I mainly serve the Bourbonnais, Bradley and Kankakee areas but am willing to chat. I am willing to travel 1 hour away from Bourbonnais for birth sessions. At this time, I am not flying anywhere out of IL.

Turnaround TimeI pride myself in fast turnaround times, but I always tell my clients 2 weeks tops, for a little cushion. Please remember that I post sneak peeks on FB and deliver your full gallery as fast as I can, all while being a stay-at-home-mama!

What's the deal with the studio?I am able to rent an awesome studio space in Kankakee from an awesome local photographer! Rentals are by the hour and are an additional $70. Reschedules are possible and can be applied for free if done 48 hours in advance! I understand that things come up, but due to the nature of renting from another business owner, the studio fee is a loss for last minute cancellations. It is a beautiful, bright and neutral space with white walls and a white bed. I utilize the studio a great deal for holiday/seasonal minis without the additional $70 fee but it is always an add-on option to my clients!

What is your style?I capture true to color with a hint of boldness. That being said, if we have a cold and gray day, I will warm up the images a little bit!

What if my baby XYZ?Whether your baby is sick and you need a reschedule, your baby has a blowout during our session, or is crying and needs to nurse: I UNDERSTAND. I am a mom myself. There's no reason for you to apologize, stress, or be embarrassed. I am happy to give you your full session time, and of course be flexible if it goes over a little. If you happen to need a reschedule, please don't hesitate to ask. I have had to ask for grace when my own life interrupts my work life and I need understanding from my clients. I know how stressful pictures can be, especially when considering a newborn. I am here for you! The only time that rescheduling is tricky is when you want to reschedule a studio session last minute. Because I rent that from another photographer, rescheduling can be done for free as long as it's 48 hours in advance. If it is a last minute reschedule/cancellation, you lose $70 and would need to spend another $70 for a new date.

What do we wear?!A good rule of thumb is always leaning into neutrals, or pastels! You can't go wrong with jeans, khakis, creams, tans, and soft colors (think Easter pastels!) You don't need to spend a bunch on brand new clothes either! Thrifting can make magic and coordination is key - not necessarily exact matching. Many moms wear black leggings for family newborn sessions with cute and casual sweaters, even, for example! Reds, yellows and orange can sometime be harsh against skin tones but no matter what, you pick what you feel best in and love for your family! As for patterns, you should avoid giving more than one person opposing patterns or opposing textures even. I am always happy to see pictures of your outfits if you want my opinion and honest feedback!

What is birth photography?FIRST: It's whatever you want it to look like and not as intimidating as it sounds! In short, my birth photography takes a documentary approach. I capture all the little details of your day, while being a fly on the wall - unless you want to chat - then I'm all ears! I like to capture the true ambiance of your space and experience to the best of my ability. Due to the nature of each birth experience varying per the birthing person, this is not your typical light and airy & crystal clear experience. There is grain and grit and beauty, all encompassed in this glorious experience that you're sharing with me. Should you book, you get one in-person consult with me to go over your vision, hopes, shots wanted/not wanted, etc. Birth is brutal, beautiful and glorious and I promise you'll love your images that portray one of the best days of your life.

Can I just book a mini?At this time, I am only doing regular or full sessions aside from my holiday/seasonal minis that are prearranged. Occasionally, I post last minute mini offers if I'm itching to do a certain session or feeling creative and want a share a discounted model call! Examples of seasonal and holiday minis include but aren't limited to: Valentine, Spring, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Summer, Fall, Christmas (holiday wear & PJs)
